Nobody loves a load of crap...

...well, somebody does. And although we don't necessarily enjoy loads of crap, we find much humor in them when they are provided to us directly by, you guessed it, LBI itself.

Take this gem from KPNZ-TV's EEO Public Filing.

We're no experts, so don't take it from us, but take a look at page 4. Officially, it's a "recruitment event" called "Celebracion del Grito". In other words, LBI "recruiters" ie promotions department interns, promoted the station at the event, with an attendance of approximately 10,000. And every effort was made at the event to recruit new people to work at the station. There's nothing like a promotions event that we can chalk up on the EEO report. Penn and Teller would call it "Bullshit." We call it, "LBI."

Let's look at the 2nd "recruitment initiative" LBI took part in. It was "Super Mom" Career Day. So, LBI "recruiters" went to an elementary school, to, uh, recruit new hires... This doesn't take much explanation. Too bad LBI isn't in Mexico, or better yet, China, where you could literally hire those elementary school children.

And third, it just keeps getting better. No better way to recruit than to speak to your own employees about equal opportunities. LBI's own David Munoz, Jr. was the keynote speaker at an event that had a title probably longer than the actual "initiative". "Diversity in the Workplace...Creating an Environment of Understanding, Tolerance & Respect." We think we might have just thrown up a bit in our mouths. We're think that you could throw even more buzzwords into a longer title, but we're not sure. Thanks to eHow.com for the idea, David!

We could go on and on, and note that there were more events pandering to children, or made-up events such as a "Job Fair & Open House." But we know it's all rubbish, and frankly, we're tired of it.
